If your car engine heat up and exceeds the red line of 90/100 °? Discover the main reasons for this fault. Following are main Causes of Car Engine Overheating in all Models.
LACK OF COOLANT (MAIN CAUSE FOR CAR ENGINE OVERHEATING)
Engine overheating can be the consequence of a lack of coolant in the circuit … If there is not enough water, the circulation of the water is much less and the limited amount that this water becomes warmer than normal. In short, simply fill up the water and check that the level falls again not too soon thereafter, which could indicate a head gasket HS, a leak in the system or a leaking water exchanger /oil.
The radiator’s role is to cool water with the aid of air. More surface contact with the air, the more water is cooled, wholesale plus the radiator is big plus it works! Logic … But when it accumulates dirt diverse and varied in time, it ends up being covered in part, reducing the contact with air, thus cooling.
But to get there it we really need it is really clogged. Anyway, its control is quite easy because it is usually visible under the hood.
Its role is to keep the water in a small circuit when cold (so cold engine has just started). Indeed, the goal is not that cool the engine, it is also the heat as soon as possible (because an engine works much better when it’s hot: less wear, less consumption, better performance etc. .).
By keeping the water in a smaller circuit enables the heat faster. When it is warm enough, the thermostat opens the little circuit on the large radiator so that the handles keep the water reasonably.
In short, if it no longer works there more than the small circuit that works! The water does not pass through the radiator and heats up very soon!
In the same idea, if the coolant does not circulate in the circuit so there is more water intake cooled … The water is stagnant and will no longer go to cool in devices made for (the so radiator). Note that a bad adjustment of the belt resulting in (too tight or too little) logically will use the pump bearings. Early failure could then find its cause here. It is the main cause of Car Engine Overheating.
LOW OIL LEVEL
Engine lubricating oil also serves in part to cool the engine block. A very low level so can only help the heating of the water … So do a quick check.
If the trouble occurs on a gasoline engine ignition ( the spark that triggers by candles to cause combustion of gasoline) may be involved. Indeed, if the distributor does not send the juice at the right time it can result in overheating of the engine.
WHAT TO DO IN THIS SITUATION?
In a case of Car Engine Overheating, the first thing to do is not to add hot hot! That is, it takes off the engine immediately to stop the internal combustion engine. The goal is to try to identify the cause but also whether you will be able to roll out.
Beware, though, if you have fun to open the cap of the expansion tank of the coolant, the pressure caused by heat can jump in your face! We must let the engine cool before going to see what happens there. Beware that some cars have a system that prevents its opening when the water is too hot. The ideal is to contact (without starting) to the radiator fan runs and accelerates cooling.
Start by then see if there is not a puddle under your car and if so determine its provenance. Please note, some may believe that they have some leakage while it is only the water from the air conditioning system (water flows under a car when the air conditioning is turned on).
HOW TO DRIVE AN OVERHEATED CAR?
Ideally when a car overheat is to drive as fast as possible with the engine speed as low as possible. The faster you drive, the more air rushing into the radiator. And less the engine speed is higher the lower the combustion (revolutions / minute) and thus heating. However, also be aware that the water pump flow is related to engine speed, so the more quickly it turns over the pump runs fast too, which compensates in part.
Note turning on the heating serves to remove some of the heat from the air vents in the cockpit. Certainly not very pleasant in the summer, it must make the effort for the health of your engine.
