TOP 5 CAUSES OF CAR ENGINE OVERHEATING IN ALL MODELS

 LACK OF COOLANT (MAIN CAUSE FOR CAR ENGINE OVERHEATING)

Engine overheating can be the consequence of a lack of coolant in the circuit … If there is not enough water, the circulation of the water is much less and the limited amount that this water becomes warmer than normal. In short, simply fill up the water and check that the level falls again not too soon thereafter, which could indicate a head gasket HS, a leak in the system or a leaking water exchanger /oil.

FAULTY RADIATOR

WHAT TO DO IN THIS SITUATION?

In a case of Car Engine Overheating, the first thing to do is not to add hot hot! That is, it takes off the engine immediately to stop the internal combustion engine. The goal is to try to identify the cause but also whether you will be able to roll out.

Beware, though, if you have fun to open the cap of the expansion tank of the coolant, the pressure caused by heat can jump in your face! We must let the engine cool before going to see what happens there. Beware that some cars have a system that prevents its opening when the water is too hot. The ideal is to contact (without starting) to the radiator fan runs and accelerates cooling.

HOW TO DRIVE AN OVERHEATED CAR?

Ideally when a car overheat is to drive as fast as possible with the engine speed as low as possible. The faster you drive, the more air rushing into the radiator. And less the engine speed is higher the lower the combustion (revolutions / minute) and thus heating. However, also be aware that the water pump flow is related to engine speed, so the more quickly it turns over the pump runs fast too, which compensates in part.

Note turning on the heating serves to remove some of the heat from the air vents in the cockpit. Certainly not very pleasant in the summer, it must make the effort for the health of your engine.
